a. A tenement house is an old apartment building with 3 rooms in each one that immigrants live in when they first come to America.
b. Immigration lead to the creation of tenement houses because the immigrants coming over would not have a place to live so they made the tentment houses.
c. Life for new immigrants was hard because they have to start their life over in an unfamiliar place. Life is okay in the tenement house because there is heat and water source so people can actually live in it but it also has some downsides. There are only a few beds so some family members had to sleep on the floor.
d. I see that they don't understand what people are saying and they have to earn money for their family

My parents were from China. Then they immigrated to America for better opportunities like better jobs. I am not an immigrant.
